Do Not Disturb not working in iOS 16.1

I have used Do Not Disturb, later changed to Focus, now changed to Focus AND Do Not Disturb, for years. I don't use it to not be bothered while "driving, sleep or work " I use it 24/7/365 to avoid having spam calls go through. Worked beautifully for years, but since upgrading to 16.1, calls from spam are ringing through regardless. Also, sometimes "Do Not Disturb" shows up on the lock screen and other times it doesn't. I'm not sure if it's turned off if it doesn't show up. Is anyone else having this problem, and how did you fix it? PLEASE, APPLE, LEAVE DO NOT DISTURB ALONE so I can get calls from contacts only 24/7/365. I don't need the bells and whistles you keep thinking I want. I want to eliminate spam, and that is the only reason I use Do Not Disturb. I can't be the only one. Naturally, Apple has filed this under iOS 13 without asking me where I wanted to file it. Brilliant!

To start, we recommend updating to the latest software version of iOS 16.1.1. Updating installs bug fixes and important security updates. Before updating, be sure to back up your iPhone first: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.

2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.

3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.

5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.
