Mail Documents and Data

I have been having difficulty deleting my documents and data for my Apple Mail app on my iPhone 11. I have tried every solution I could find online and on this website. I have removed every single account linked to the app after reinstalling it (gmail, yahoo, etc.) and I turned off Apple Mail in my iCloud account settings. Is there any other solution I could try? I don't have enough storage to keep my documents and data on my iPhone.

Hi MitchellMotch,

Based on your screenshot, it appears you offloaded the app and did not delete it. Offloading the app automatically saves the documents & data for the app for when you reinstall it. You can reinstall the app and actually delete it to remove the app and its content altogether. You can delete the Mail app by completing the steps listed here: Delete built-in Apple apps from the Home Screen on your iOS 14 or later or iPadOS device or Apple Watch - Apple Support that are also listed below.

" Delete a built-in app from your device

  1. On your iOS or iPadOS device, touch and hold the app.
  2. Tap Remove App from the shortcut menu.
  3. Tap Delete App from the submenu.

If you have an Apple Watch, deleting an app from your iPhone also deletes that app from your Apple Watch."

Best regards.
