Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD

Recently bought a Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD Blu Ray/DVD drive that says it has Mac compatibility. Plugged into my 2020 M1 MacBook Pro 13" running Ventura with a USB-C to USB-C cable. The drive powers on, accepts a DVD, but does not show in Finder or in /Volumes.

It does show up in System Report on the USB bus. see below

It does not show up in VLC or DVD Player.

Hi spencerogden,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. If you are having issues using a drive with your MacBook Pro, here are steps to help:

1. Restart your device to see if the issue is still there: Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support

2. Confirm that your device is using the most recent software to rule out the older one: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

3. Contact the manufacturer to see if any software or specific settings are needed.

4. Contact Apple Support here if you need further support: Contact - Official Apple Support

Have a great day.
