my airtags are not updating firmware

My airtags firmware will not update. I have 4 of them. I have left them by the charged phone individually and as a group. They do not update

AirTag firmware not updating I have purchased pack of four new AirTags. Surprisingly, the firmware was old - version 1.0.291. The AirTags are not updating the firmware, despite being close to the iPhone 15 Pro for weeks. Yes, I have tried resetting the AirTags, restarting the iPhone. Apple states that firmware updates periodically, however, that does not seem to be the case here, unless periodically means more than few weeks. At what stage do I take them back to an Apple Store under warranty as a faulty product?

airtag does not update fast enough Airtag gets such good reviews on Amazon, so it has to be the case that I'm doing something wrong. Airtag will not update its located fast enough. Sometimes 30 minutes will go by without an update even though I have moved the airtag 1000 feet. I can only force it to update if I bring my smart phone with 10 feet of it. I use it to track my cats, so obviously this cannot be used to find my cats if I have to first come within 10 feet of them. I already called tech support and they just said to update to the latest IOS software which I have already done.

Maybe try disconnecting from them, and then reconnecting. Or try restarting your iPhone.

I haven’t had the November or December updates. Batteries are new in last 3 months. Seem to be linked ok. Both tags and phone been reset. Just more poor quality.

Hello, I have same problem. I had iPhone (latest iOS) with wifi and bluetooth with my airtags for 10 hours, airtags still have same firmware
