How long do I have to get AppleCare+?

I’m getting an apple product for Christmas, it was purchased today but I won’t be receiving it until Christmas Day, would I still be able to get apple care on it despite not being able to use it or set it up for a month?

You have 60 days after purchase date to add AppleCare+ but you will have to have the product examined first to show it is in good condition.
