Email setting...I think

In the last few days, my email has changed somewhat...and it is a nuisance. When I look at an email, I get "Load Content Directly" in a circle on the upper right hand corner of my email. I often have to click on that to get my complete email. Also, I have noticed in the upper left corner of my email the statement, "Your network preferences prevent content from loading privately." I don't recall changing any of my preferences, but I may have done so inadvertently. Any help to get the correct settings would be greatly appreciated.
