Apple Pencil floating menu has disappeared. How do I get it back?

I was having a problem getting my Apple Pencil 2 to work nicely with a certain app, so I tried touching "mininise" in the floating Apple Pencil menu. Instead of minimising (becoming very small), the menu entirely disappeared. Now I can't get it back, and I need it. How do I get the Apple Pencil menu back?
