HOW TO ENABLE significant locations on iphone to use Backtrack on apple watch compass

when i try to use backtrack in the compass app on my apple watch 6 (OS 9.1), it says to enable Significant Locations in settings on the iPhone (13pro running iOS 16.1.1). there does not appear to be any place in the iPhone settings to do that. appreciate knowing how to enable Significant Locations to be able to use Backtrack in the compass on the watch...

thanks

OK, i did some more searching for the problem of "missing significant locations in iOS 16".. found a non-apple website article and problem solved.... the menu item has moved to a new location

can be found here:

>Privacy

>Location Services

then scroll all the way down to the bottom to find:

>System Services

>Significant Locations

Toggle ON

done... compass backtrack can function now.
