Can I use a checking account rather than a credit card to setup Apple Cash?

You can use a debit card but not a credit card and not a checking account without a debit card to add money to Apple Cash. See: Add money to Apple Cash - Apple Support


However, you can transfer money from Apple Cash to either a debit card or bank account. See: Transfer money in Apple Cash to your bank account or debit card - Apple Support
