Much like the user in this thread, I've just updated to ios 16.1 to find that everything previously displayed in Welsh is now only in English. Previously the calendar, for instance, was in Welsh. I'll leave feedback but wondered if there's any way at present to fix it and make it show up in the preferred language again.

First, you mentioned you have iOS 16.1 installed. The latest version is 16.1.1.

Hi - I have tried this as well as removing it and reinstalling it - but the date on the opening screen remains in English. I did update 16.2 before doing it . Please help - the removal of a language is … well I don’t need to go there do I.

I have not see any way to fix this so far. Best leave some more feedback.
The thing is that before iOS 16, Calendar would display in Welsh (and lots of other languages which had no support in any other app) if you made Welsh (or one of those others) your preferred language. It's definitely a bug that this capability was lost.
An example from my older iphone that can't update beyond iOS 15.

It's not the phone, it's having updated to iOS 16.
