Hi,
While using my Mac Studio with the latest OS (Ventura), and the newest version of Final Cut Pro--while "Voice Isolation" appears for clips in the audio inspector--I cannot enable it.
Other boxes I'm able to check or enable. Such as "Equalization" and "Noise Removal"; but for "Voice Isolation" I cannot enable the box.
Any thoughts on what the issue might be?

I trashed my preferences and have attached an image as requested. I did use sort of a random video and audio clip, and I've tried a variety of clips and the issue remains static across them all.

I've tried a variety of media clips, and while Voice Isolation appears, I cannot enable it.
I'm going to try and do a clean install of my MacOS hoping that may resolve the issue (as I already tried to reinstall FCP), as I had yet to come across someone else having the same issue when doing an online search.

I did end up upgrading from Monterey (after doing a fresh install) to Ventura. Voice Isolation continues to work.
Once again, I appreciate the quick responses to my issue; as I believe it helped speed along my decision to do a fresh install.

I am experiencing exactly what you describe above. When I have time I will also try a "fresh" install but that is going to be a lot of time and effort. I have two macbook pro's and, currently, this works on my second one. Go figure.

I had the same problem....a blue line appeared over the area by the audio browser window when I clicked it. I tried clicking on noise reduction first, and then the Voice Isolation button and that seemed to work.
After clicking the Audio Analysis button, this occurs, but I'm still not able to enable Voice Isolation.
Trash your preferences. Open the Hide/Show button for Voice Isolation. Post a screenshot of the timeline and the audio inspector that shows the audio configuration.
Click the Audio Analysis button. What happens?
What’s the timeline look like where the clip is?
Try switching off Noise Removal. I can’t see why it doesn’t work.
What’s the media exactly?
I just did a fresh install of Monterey and now I'm able to enable Voice Isolation.
Appears it may have been an issue from upgrading to Ventura OS from Monterey.
There may have been a software conflict with migrated software, not there is no problem with Voice Isolation in Ventura per se.
Please post a screenshot of what is selected in Audio Configuration. You cannot apply isolation to multiple channels.
