iPhone calendar keeps sending invites

I am having this problem where my iPhone keeps sending the invites to people every time I open calendar. It happens not only on my phone but also on my partner’s. Every event I was invited to is again being sent to me each time his calendar is opened.

We tried restarting the phone, toggling the calendar option in setting for iCloud but the problem persists.

We are both at the version 16.1.1 and I thinks it has been happening since the update to iOS 16.

I hope this problem will be soon fixed because sometimes it can be really annoying.
