Sudden change to Apple Watch battery life

Inthe last 2-3 days my watch battery has taken a nose dive. I have only had the watch 5-6 weeks. Although it is possibly refurbished as I broke the face on my prior watch. Any idea why the battery would die so quickly and with no transition time. I’m down to 10% a few hours before my normal charging time. Any suggestions to improve battery performance?

Windows, Windows 10

It’s nothing to do with being refurbished. My watch also, after the latest update, will discharge normally to about 75%, then suddenly completely die. I’ve spent upward of 3 hours on pre-Thanksgiving Day talking to several technicians and running diagnostics. Conclusion? My hardware is perfect, it’s a software problem. If I want my phone to work, I have to pay $366!!!!! for a factory analysis, on the off-chance that they can figure out the problem. I’m so furious I’m considering going to my local Apple store, standing at the watch station, and telling everyone not to buy Apple watches. Their screwup, and their solution is for me to pay them hundreds of dollars more? No thank you… I’m going to take it out in personal satisfaction.

I did read thru several articles before coming here. What puzzles me is that it was very sudden. Some days I would forget to charge it during the evening and would still have battery at bed time. Have been hitting the 10% warning around dinner time. And not using the watch any differently. I do believe my problem started after recent software updates. I will reach out to support. Thank you for your response.
