Apple Watch series 10 catastrophic battery life

I bought a Apple Watch 10 less then a week ago and I'm really disappointed with the battery life :( Today at 07:00 the battery was almost 100% at 16:30 I received a warning about low battery level.

My old series 4 never drained the battery this fast.

So I guess I'm going to return it.

Is there anybody else that has the same experience?

I got my Series 10 last Friday, paired it to my iPhone Saturday.

Sunday I power cycled it.

Monday I power cycled it.

Now it is giving me long battery life. Yesterday, before putting it on the charger near midnight, it had 68% charge. This morning, after sleep monitoring, it has 88%.

Right after you initially pair your Apple Watch, or you upgrade the watchOS version, the iPhone and Apple Watch are doing a lot of sync work. For the first 48 hours, power cycle it once a day, and in most cases it will return to normal.

If after 48 hours and 2 power cycles, it does not give you proper battery life, unpair, then pair again (also doing the 48 hour power cycles).

If that does not get the battery life back to normal, contact Apple support.

Could be an iOS 18 / watchOS 11 software issue.

Did you try to force restart your Apple Watch 10 by pressing and holding the Digital Crown and the Side button together for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?

I disabled the Live Activities on my Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the settings for Smart Stack, and the battery life is back to normal again.
