Apple iBooks

Since installing IOS 16 I cannot close the book I'm reading in Apple iBooks to get back to my library. I've have tapped all over my screen. Hit the X in the top right corner which just closes the app. I've called up menu in the bottom right corner where all it gives me are the Contents, Search Book, Themes & Settings, and upload icon and the bookmark contact. It has no home/library button to tap.

Any ideas of what to do? This is maddening as I tend to read most of my ebooks on this app.
