Will battery of MacBook Air M2 degrade more if I'll keep it plugged in?

I have started using MacBook Air M2 with external monitor. Will it cause any more harm to the battery if I keep my MacBook plugged in while using external monitor? I am aware that the display itself does not affect battery, my question is regarding keeping MacBook plugged in ,,constantly''.

I have seen few threats saying both (won't affect and will affect).

Can you please help me determine which one is correct or give some suggestions to optimalize battery state and life as much as possible?

Hi namepatrik,

The built-in battery management features of your device should prevent your battery from being over charged. Here's some info from the Batteries - Maximizing Performance resource that should be helpful:

- Optimized Battery Charging and Optimized Charge Limit adapt to your daily usage and preserve your battery lifespan over time. Optimized Battery Charging is available on all platforms as of iOS 13, watchOS 7, and macOS Big Sur. Based on your daily charging routine, it may automatically defer charging to 100% until shortly before you need to use the battery. Apple Watch Ultra can further reduce time spent at high states of charge by learning when to charge to an Optimized Charge Limit and when to allow for a full charge.

Take care.
