iPhone 14 Pro performance issue

I purchased the iPhone 14 Pro 128GB model just 2 days ago and have tried playing the most basic games like Geometry Dash for instance. It is virtually unplayable with the frames being consistently erratic. I am running IOS 16.1.1 and have 100% battery health. All other apps are running smoothly it just seems to be with gaming apps that I am facing this issue. Any explanations?
