How do i permit clearing the safari history and cache while using parental controls

If you have Safari restricted completely, you would not be able to allow this unless you turn off restrictions for Safari, clear the history, and then enabled the restrictions again.

If the option is greyed out after you remove the parental controls for Safari, it may be related to the section of this resource: Clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch "When there's no history or website data to clear, the setting turns gray. The setting might also be gray if you have web content restrictions set up under Content & Privacy Restrictions in Screen Time."
