I need to turn off the find my iPhone on my iPad

I have turned it off on the iPad and I have gone on to the cloud and turned it off. I am trying to file a claim via a third party called asurion and they are saying ‘find my phone’ is still on. But on the iPad and on cloud.com it’s showing off. What am I missing
