Phone carrier lock
How do I find out what phone carrier my phone is locked to? I cannot activate my phone because it is locked

Normally you would know who your carrier might be, because you pay them every month for cell and phone service. Did you just acquire the phone?
Tap Settings
Tap Cellular
Look just under the Personal Hotspot listing and the name of the carrier should be displayed, likely in faint print.
Only the carrier can unlock the phone.
