m2 macbook air shutting down without warning

I just bought the new M2 Macbook Air and it's been shutting down without warning even though the battery indicates that there's at least 20% left. I don't receive any warning that the battery is low. The screen flickers and then turns black. When I charge the laptop and turn it back on, there is a weird glitch in the centre of the screen that doesn't go away unless I restart the laptop.

I took it in to an apple authorized service provider to get it looked at. They said the MRI fails battery testing and they ended up replacing the battery. Not great for a device I've only had for a month. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.
