Homekit issue, Siri: “I tried, but the media in your scene is not available”

I am using homepod as hub, and i also have AppleTV.

When I try to run “goodnight” scene by saying “hey siri, good night”, the scene will run smoothly, but siri always says “I tried, but the media in your scene is not available”. I presume it’s because there is no music playing on the homepod but the scene should run “pause media” if there’s music playing.

Any workaround to this issue other than removing homepod from the scene entirely?

HomePod, 16

Salutations V_J_R,

When you receive the message that the scene is not available are we correct in our understanding that the scene stops or does it complete? You mentioned something about no music playing. To isolate, if there is music playing does that message no longer appear? Testing that will let us know if it is the cause of the message, as opposed to speculating on what’s causing it.

Also, you may try removing the HomePod from the scene, run the scene again, and then add the HomePod back to the scene and test again: Create and use scenes in Home on iPhone - Apple Support

Thanks.
