iphone 11 ethernet connection

My iphone 11 used to connect to the internet via an ethernet cable, now it won't show an ethernet connection.

Ethernet connection I have iPhone 15 Pro Mx- I also have a compatible USB-C to Ethernet cable. When the cable is connected, the Ethernet settings appear. However, no connection to the Internet is established. The green and yellow lights on both adaptors are also active. When I use the same setting on a non-iPhone device, all seem to be ok. Is there a clear instructions about using the iPhone for sharing the Internet via the Ethernet connectivity? Thank you in advance. As of this writing the iOS version is 17.1.

New iPhone 15 connects to Wi-Fi but not internet. I partly synced the new phone I store, but due to time restraints decided to finish at home. The phone connects to Wi-Fi but not internet. Any ideas?

Please use this adapter and connect to your router using RJ45 Cable (Ethernet)

Once connected you will have the option in Settings.

Thank you, I have connected using such an adaptor. My iphone used to connect ok, the ethernet connection appeared in settings but now it doesn't. I would like to know why.
