Can an Apple Watch Series 4 be fixed after water damage?

can a series 4 iwatch be fixed after water damage. Apple store said no and Best Buy said no. I was in the water less then 5 minutes just standing there. While getting out it called an SOS think i had fallen. After that the watch went dead. I have charged it, I get the Apple logo for a short period but it doesn’t turn on. I also get the snake line with the green end. When I try to find my watch it tells me it back where I was on vacation. Took it to Apple they said they can’t repair, took it to Best Buy they said they can’t repair. Both told me to buy another one. This was the first time I wore the watch in water. It is supposed to be water resistant to 50 meters. Any luck in getting the watch to work?
