Apple watch app on phone keeps trying to download particular music album onto watch.

The Apple Watch app on my phone keeps trying to sync a particular music album onto my watch at all times, even when the watch is not attached to power and charging. The album will be displayed there with the rotating ring, removing the album from the list makes it come back after about 10 seconds.

Besides that, adding any other album to the list to be downloaded to the watch results in them being removed without any notice after about 10 seconds, making it impossible to tell from the app what albums are actually downloading or downloaded onto my watch.

Hello Nickong6,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We want to help get your Apple Watch adding music as expected again.

Make sure you're using these steps to add the music:

"Add music using your iPhone

  1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap My Watch, then tap Music.
  3. Below Playlists & Albums, tap Add Music.
  4. Select albums and playlists to sync to your Apple Watch.

In watchOS 9.1, music is added when Apple Watch is placed near your iPhone. In earlier versions of watchOS, your Apple Watch must also be connected to power."

This Apple Support page has the full details to add music to your Apple Watch: Add music to Apple Watch - Apple Support

If the issue remains, make sure both devices are using the latest software and try a normal restart.

We hope this helps to isolate the issue so you can fully enjoy your music again.

Cheers!
