Settings Badge Notification not going away

Hello all. I’ve Checked all throughout the internet and cannot find a solution to this issue:

I have an IPhone 14 (just updated to IOS 16.1.1) and there is a notification WITHIN the settings app stating “Get help during an emergency”.. but no matter how many times I tap on it or reset the phone or sign out of my iCloud, it will not go away. Any solutions? I’ve also tried toggling all of the SOS emergency settings but nothing will get rid of this notification.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello ammonride,

The first thing we would suggest would be to power cycle the iPhone by following these steps found at Restart your iPhone - Apple Support:

1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.

2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.

While simple, this can refresh the iOS, apps and connections.

If you continue to have an issue, we based on what you are describing, we would reach out to Apple Support using the this link: Get Support

They will be in the best position to provide further assistance.

Have a good day.
