Mac Studio
You are not very clear in your statement. Sounds like a router problem. Have you powered your router down, unplugged it, waited a minute and plugged it back in and restarted it? What about other devices in your network that use that same router? iPhone, iPad, Apple TV etc.? How far away is your Mac Studio from your router? How long is your ethernet cable?
Have you read the suggestions in the Related Article link provided at the top of this page?
No, it's not a router issue. Three other computers are plugged into the same switch that is not even three feet away from my Mac Studio (two of them Mac Studios that do not have this issue) as well as a Synology NAS. None of the devices here connected to WiFi have this issue either. And yes, I have read the suggestions. I tried the power-saving setting in the Hardware submenu of the network settings and see if that mitigates the issue.
Did your Mac Studio have this issue out of the box or did it start after installing some type of third-party AV-ware or VPN?
If the Mac Studio is new out of the box with no third-party AV-ware or VPN installed, then I would try a different Cat 6e or better Ethernet cable.
Yes, I have been tolerating it but it's so annoying now. I've tried a few different CAT 6 cables and it persists. It has Cisco's VPN (never used and not running) and McAfee Endpoint on it but so do my coworkers' and theirs don't have this issue. Besides, it happens even on WiFi.
You might try a Safe Boot which loads only Apple’s software and see if the problem persists. Barring that then it sounds like a warranty visit may be in order don’t you think? Lemons do come out of the box even with expensive gear. Unfortunate but part of life.
if you find that your wi-fi is dropping out, that is likely a solvable wi-fi issue.
If you find that your Ethernet is dropping out, that is likely a solvable Ethernet issue.
If you find BOTH are dropping out in a similar way, some Users discover that they have ONLY a Wi-Fi issue, and they were never testing their Ethernet connection at all.
Your Mac sends packets that are going to the Internet using the TOPMOST Working interface show on the list in
system preferences > networks
If Ethernet is not topmost use the gear icon below the box 'set service order' and drag it to the TopMost position. Then when a cable is plugged in, it will also be the TopMost Working interface, and when no cable is plugged in. Wi-Fi will be the working interface.
I have disabled WiFi to determine that it persists with Ethernet and it does. Ethernet is currently on top in my Mac's service order.
I came here to post this update: I reimaged my Mac yesterday as I was leaving work and four hours in to today, the internet connection has yet to be disrupted. It appears to have been resolved.
Again, thank you all!
In summary, what do you think was the issue?
• that MacOs was damaged, and replacing it fixed the issue.
• that some settings were left over or just bonkers, and replacing them fixed the issue.
• that some old software was left out of the new install, and its absence improved things.
• no theories/something else entirely.
I have the same issue, both wired and WiFi.
I send it to warranty repair and Apple changed all the motherboard with SoC, etc... but the problem persists.
It is strange because the problem is only with Safari and Chrome, but no with Firefox. And its alleatory for some minutes, then the connection comes back.
Moreover, I have check during these disconeections (or temporary drops) to ping to the webpage I'm trying to navigate, and ping comes back...
It seems to be a software bug, isn't it?
Have you check the same?
NO. I strongly disagree.

+1 at this point I concur with Ikrupp.
Then that is what I'm going to do because with everything I've tried, I am leaning towards a bad NIC. Thank you all.
I'm leaning towards the initial install of MacOS was damaged or missing something since I didn't change any settings after reinstalling it and it was up to date.
