How do you turn off the annoying Safari sidebar that shows on Chrome

The Safari and Chrome browsers are entirely different browser Apps. As such, any sidebars that you see within Chrome will be controlled by (or within) the Chrome App.

The Safari sidebar is simply enabled disabled using the sidebar button:
