Occasionally, opening Notes app, (sometimes on ipad, sometimes on iphone), the left margin will still show the index of notes, but the right hand side which should show the body of the selected note is a blank screen. All the text is blank. When this happens, it happens to all notes at the same time. If I close the app and reopen it, the text in the body of the note reappears every time. Very strange. Am I the only one?

That does sound like quite a unique issue. Do you use Notes in iCloud or do you just have those notes saved locally? On the same path, if you do use Notes in iCloud, does the same issue happen over both cellular data and Wi-Fi or just one or the other? If the issue is isolated to one or the other, you might check for managed profiles or VPN or security software that could be disrupting the transfer of packets with online sources.
If nothing changes, please provide as many details as you can. While you may need to work with Apple directly on this, we'd like to do what we can to assist first.
