No live photo sync (mov-file)

I like to have access to my live photos on my windows system (Win 10). However, iCloud is only syncing my heic-files to the iCloud-Photo folder. What can I do that the mov-files will be synced as well?

Further, I have read that I can select Photos by year. However, I cannot find this option. Where can I select this?

Greetings i_blue,

Here’s some information about downloading and viewing iCloud Photos on a Windows computer using iCloud for Windows 14.

Download and view iCloud Photos on your Windows computer

1. On your Windows computer, open File Explorer, then click iCloud Photos in the Navigation pane.
If you don’t see iCloud Photos, click Pictures in the Navigation pane, then double-click iCloud Photos.
2. Double-click a thumbnail to download and view it.
Icons next to a photo or video’s filename indicate its download status and if it’s part of your iCloud Shared Photo Library. See a list of icons and what they mean.

You can also easily view your iCloud photos and videos in the Microsoft Photos app.

It would be helpful to know which version of Windows we’re working with, along with whether you’re seeing any error messages when attempting to view the MOV version of a file or even the HEIC version of a file.

Thanks.

I am familiar with the basic functionality of iCloud. My problem is that I don't get/see the mov-files listed at all. Neither in the folder nor in Microsoft Photo. Heic-files are visible and I can make them available locally accordingly. Online (web browser) I can see both file types.

As noted, I use Windows 10 (22H2). No error messages are shown.

It would be great if you could help me.
