What do you do when an app new downloaded, in this case, speechify, states free trial and then immediately takes $139 out of your debit card. Before I even got to look at the app, the notification came through I had been charged. I am mediately, went and canceled the subscription, but it canceled it in November 2023… So they could keep the money. I started s dispute, but it is a pending charge, and they say I have to wait till the charge is completed!!! I never even got to look at the app before my charge went through!

Same here, my mother was looking for a text to speech app and speechify took money from her account immediately. It took a while but we got the money back through the credit card company. I think speechify preys on the more tech incompetent people.
