Ventura not supported for 2016 Mac Book Pro

My wife is running a 2016 Mac Book Pro which is fine for her needs... so that is just not going to be supported any longer with OS updates?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

Your title is correct as written

Your Mac can still do everything it could do the day you took it out of the box. and probably a lot more based on several updates Apple provided over the years, for free.

Apple generally continues to provide security updates for the current MacOS (MacOS 13 Ventura) and the two previous versions (MacOS 12 Monterey and MacOS 11 Big Sur).

---------

MacBook Pro 2016 models can run up to and including MacOS 12 Monterey
