I need to Reset a locked mac mini. Original owner not available because I bought it online
The original owner did not properly prepare it for re-sale.

You can not unlock it.
You need to contact the original owner and have them property prepare it or return it.
From working with iPhones it is possible to reset a phone with out having to contact the owner. Of course the former owner must remove the phone from their iCloud account. I guess that also applies to a Mac mini. The one I am buying May have been owned by a corporation where the administrator may have removed it from their account.
With an iPhones You don’t have to have the password.
Is it possible to find the previous owners contact info from iCloud or elswhere?
