How do I get to the right support team within Apple to reset this pass code? The pass code for my phone is six digits and I have absolutely no recollection of setting up a four digit pass code. I have always just used my Apple ID password for everything family sharing.

It sounds like you need to reset the passcode for your iPhone. When you setup a passcode, it can be four-digits, six-digits, a custom numeric code, or a custom alphanumeric code.
Use a passcode with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you have forgotten your passcode, you will need to restore iPhone to remove the forgotten passcode.

A previously created backup can be restored to your device during setup of iPhone to retrieve your data.

Could this be a Home Sharing or Simple Sharing passcode for sharing iTunes/Music libraries that you're looking for, rather than anything related to Family Sharing? Or is it a ScreenTime passcode to approve purchases by minors? Assuming the latter try If you forgot your Screen Time passcode - Apple Support which should help you reset this code.
