My wired discontinued Epson NX420 printer/scanner will not operate with Mac OS 13: no driver support. Can anyone suggest or recommend a good - and not budget breaking - printer/scanner - preferably wired but also wireless - which is and will be compatible with Mac OS Ventura for the next several years: i.e. one that is not already 5 years old and ready to be unsupported? Thanks!

FWIW. My printer needs pretty much matches yours. I have an older HP multifunction printer, the HP OfficeJet Pro 6970. It still works perfectly with all my Macs, which run anything from macOS High Sierra to Ventura.
Again, HP printers have been a "non-issue" for me. Others may not share that experience. I suggest that, whomever you end up buying your new printer from, ask about their return policy, should it not work out for you. Good luck!

Personally, for multi-function printers, I have been using those from HP. Others may suggestion other brands. For example, if you like Epson printers, then I would start there.
Understand. Just occasional printing of things I downloaded from the web and light copying. Most of the time, my printer is off. if I print 2 things week, that is heavy duty for me.
Very light printing and copying: 2-4 documents per week would be about it.

My Hp's have always worked great on my Macs. I have an old laser printer that seems to go offline once in a while, but once you kick in the rear to get it going it works fine.
