Hello dipi62,

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

We’ll need some additional information to provide more specific support.

Do you see an error message? If so, what does it say?

Does the Google Drive installer open and attempt to install the application?

Once we have some additional information we can determine our next steps to help resolve this.

Take care.

HA HA! If you know a way to contact Google, please let me know!

Alas, the joke's on you. This is a user-to-user support forum for Apple products. Google is a very popular 3rd party product. However, this forum is one of the places where you are least likely to find anyone who uses Google Drive. I recognize that Google probably doesn't have any official support. Trying to find a Google tech support forum would be like trying to find your way into some kind of mythological labyrinth with a monster in the middle. But it is what it is.

Maybe the ideal solution is to accept Google's failure to install and use iCloud instead. If enough people do that, Google will take notice and fix the problem.

Well I also have this exact same problem. I contacted the google drive support team. I sent them the complete installation log file. They asked me to enter a couple of commands from the command line and attempt reinstallation. That failed. Then they asked for a video of the installation dialog window. I captured that and sent it to them. Things went downhill from there. I was asked to uninstall the app - which never actually installed. Then they asked me to clean up all of the files the installation may have left scattered about my hard drive. Naturally, I was unable to comply and asked that my case be elevated to someone with more technical knowledge. I'm on day 3 of trying to solve this problem. Funny thing is I had no problems with installation on a nearly identical iMac the night before all of this happened.

If Apple is willing to give me 15GB of free iCloud space (like Google offers), I'll use iCloud instead. I'm dumping DropBox because of the impending changes they are rolling out.
