Backup iCloud Shared Photo Library

I have "Download Originals to this Mac" enabled for my personal library (Photos—>Settings—>iCloud), which is synced with iCloud photos. Since I backup to Time Machine, this ensures I have a local backup of my library.

I have just created a Shared Photo Library, and understand that my iCloud storage will be used to store all participants' photos. However, there are no options regarding downloading originals in the settings under Photos—>Settings—>Shared Library.

Since it is my iCloud Photos storage being used, and I've indicated it should download originals, will all items uploaded to the newly created Shared Photo Library also download to the Mac's hard drive?

Thanks for the response. I have not tried to contact Apple Support, but I did run an experiment:

I took two photos with the iPhone camera and used the toggle to send one to personal library and the other directly to the shared library. Then I inspected the Package Contents of my Photos Library on the Mac's hard drive after iCloud sync was complete. Both photos showed up in the "originals" folder and have the same file size as is listed on my phone.

So it appears the answer is yes, iCloud is treating photos in the personal and shared libraries the same.
