In two apps, Prime Video and Hulu, playback has audio and subtitles but with no video feed. I can hear the program and see the subtitles, but against a black blank screen. Restarting Apple TV fixes the problem, but the problem returns again later.
I want a permanent solution to this problem. Thank you.

you can try checking if just closing the app is enough to fix it Switch quickly between Apple TV apps - Apple Support (IE)
mind you I had ½ year free amazon prime and never experienced what you describe
you can also try to reach out to amazon / hulu as they makes the apps not apple
