Launchpad keeps popping up

After updating to Mac OS Ventura on a Mac Mini M1 purchased a few months ago, this morning I found this happening. Launchpad keeps popping up with increasing frequency until it is constant. This is not only annoying, it impedes all work. Is there a way about this. I never use launchpad anyway, can it be uninstalled? Thanks for suggestions.

Hey there Carlos Ramos-Mattei,

Since noticing this, have you tried restarting your Mac? If not, this can help resolve many one-off issues such as Launchpad opening.

If this persists after restarting, boot in safe mode to help rule out start up issues, then test again. The steps below will help:

1. Shut down your Mac.
2. Turn on your Mac and continue to press and hold the power button until you see the startup options window.
3. Select your startup disk, then press and hold the Shift key while clicking “Continue in Safe Mode.”
4. Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again.
