I can't see or use Wallet & Apple Pay on my MacBook Pro

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you. We see that you're running into issues with Wallet and Apple Pay on you Mac. Do you have a VPN or other security type software installed on your Mac? If so, try disabling it and see if that helps.

Also, are you using any restrictions in Screen Time on your Mac? If you're not sure, checking that would be a good place to start. Use Screen Time on your Mac - Apple Support

1. Select Apple menu ()
2. Then go to System Preferences
3. Lastly select Screen Time

If none of the above are enabled or being used, contacting Apple Support would be best. You can connect with them at Get Support.

Apparently, without much notice, Apple now requires older macs to purchase a keyboard with touch id in order to use Apple Wallet. At the very least you could make the popup more informative! On a related matter, is there any way to access the Apple Card account from the mac? Every other credit card around lets you access your account this way. Why not Apple Card?

It would appear Touch ID is only compatible with Apple Silicon - so Intel based Macs cannot use Wallet at all even if you purchased a Touch ID keyboard.
