My iPhone 11 now requires USB C to charge

Is it planned that my iPhone 11 will no longer charge using USB port/cable, but will charge with USB-C? Tried several cables, nothing. Previously had no trouble. An Apple work phone came with the USB C so I tried it on the 11 and it powered up quickly. Went back to USB cables and again no charging. Very inconvenient as the lamps, etc I bought with convenient USB ports are useless.

If you have tried a brand new usb cable from Apple without success, I would suggest that you get an appointment at an Apple Store for an evaluation as this is not normal.

Perhaps the lamps you bought have faulty charging ports.
