I recently upgraded to iOS 16 on my iPhone 12 Mini. I am getting maybe 6 hours of battery life if I am using it. This is extremely painful, I have done all the battery optimize suggestions. Does anyone know when apple will have a fix for this? If not how can I downgrade to iOS 15 without a backup or losing data?
I hope its possible, this has been really inconvenient.
I would think about getting a new one, but they don't make a Mini anymore!

What worked for me (12 pro) after both the update from 15 to 16.1 when the problem began and again from 16.1 to 16.1.1 when it resurfaced was deleting all my messages in iMessage. Seems no matter how long I was on power and WiFi it was not able to reconcile something in iMessage. After deleting messages across iCloud iMessage phone battery back to normal within 1 hour of being plugged in and on WiFi.

You cannot downgrade to 15 without jail breaking which is not supported here. All the websites that offer older versions are jailbreaks.
