How do you permanently delete Garage Band from a new iPad Air?

How do you permanently delete Garage Band from a new iPad Air? It is taking up nearly 2 gb of storage and will never be used.

If you are unable to add or remove on your iPad, you’ll need to check your ScreenTime restrictions:

Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Adding Apps - ensure that this permission is set to Allow
Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps - ensure that this permission is set to Allow

That would indicate that you have some restrictions enabled under Settings>Screen Time.

The iPad is not showing a delete option when you hold down the icon. It only says ‘remove from home screen’. One article I found did not have it on the list of removable apps after iOS 14. This is frustrating, as I’m not using the app and want delete it completely. It’s just a game.
