IOS 16 iPhone XR Mirror Front Camera not working

Settings -> Camera -> Mirror Front Camera is not working. On or off the selfie camera still shows the image and text reversed.

What happens if you take a picture with the camera? If you take a picture in both modes, do you see the difference in the images?

We tested this, and found that to be the case on our devices.

It turns out that this feature is only meant for pictures, not videos. It simply doesn't work in Video mode. If you are trying to use this for TikTok to go live with the selfie camera this is not the solution. Do share if there's one, Apple, please!

Hey there, so as I just wrote, the selfie camera is meant for pictures not videos when it comes to the Mirror Front Camera feature. It'd be great if it could work on video as well so that third-party apps like TikTok can offer live users the ability to live with the selfie camera and have the Mirror Front Camera feature work. Case in point: teachers on TikTok who write on boards.

How do we submit a feature request for this?
