Expired Credentials in hp on Ventura OS - Printing Issue

I recently downloaded Ventura, and I don't know if my issue is related or not. I was printing just fine and now I am getting the error message "Encryption Credentials have expired". I tried to follow the advice of another user, by going to EWS > Network > Advanced Settings > Certificates...but when I got to the webpage for my printer, I don't get the same setup. Certificates falls under the Security heading, and when I click on it there is nothing there. Help!!!!

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-In-One Printer is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a printer supporting the driverless AirPrint technology. An AirPrint-enabled printer is compatible with macOS (13 Ventura), and can be used without additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). AirPrint works with wireless (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet) network connections (so, you could connect this printer by Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports of the router instead of using Wi-Fi, if you so wish).

The aforementioned power-cycle procedure is intended to ensure that all devices are correctly registered with the router (that is why the router is included in the procedure).

AirPrint will work as it is, without extra software. What complicates the matter is that HP seems to require the use of an HP Smart app, and an always active (!) Internet connection, for ink services.

Sorry, I do not have any other ideas regarding the certificate issue.

Which exact HP model do you have?

Also, separately, you may want to try a procedure like this:

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.

Hi. I have a OfficeJet Pro 9025e. Tried the powering down and resetting the printer.

I just spent 4 hours on the phone with HP. When we got through the process of creating a new certificate, it told me the file was corrupted or not the correct file type. Seems like it could be related to Ventura.

This FINALLY worked when I installed the HP printer using GENERIC PostScript Printer driver instead of Auto Select. I'm sure I won't have full printing functionality but at least it works for the basics. I'll try again at some point to set this up properly.

Same problem here. I do not want to install the HP Smart software. I just want to use drivers. Temporary workaround: use the generic driver, as suggested by JohannaMat.

Please, let us know if you find a fix!
