HP Encryption credentials have expired

I know this is an old issue, but I have run into this issue where my print queue says "encryption credentials have expired". None of the suggestions (delete printer, power cycle everything) have worked. I tried creating a new certificate; the HP EWS creates a new self-signed certificate that's valid starting tomorrow/next day, not sure if that's the problem. I have tried waiting to the next day to see if it helps but no joy. The printer worked until I updated firmware, now I can't print anything from Mac (AirPrint from iOS works). Suggestions included setting up the printer using AirPrint but that's not an option shown in my OS (Ventura).
