Lightning to USB C to HDMI

Apple Lightning to HDMI cable is out of stock in my location, could I use lightning to USB c, then USB c to HDMI to connect my iPad to an external screen?

Depends on the specific cable. Apple's Lighting to USB-C cables can be used for charging and syncing, but do not support video output directly, that's why the Digital Av adapter exists.


If you find one that supports video transfer, then maybe you can use the USB-C to HDMI adapter with it. But there's no way to know which one will work unless it specifically states it will or you try it out.


I have not seen any that work that way directly.
