iMessage delivery

Is an iMessage "delivered" if the corresponding iPhone is dead, but the users laptop or other device is not?

As long as they have another iPhone, iPod touch, iPad or Mac using the same AppleID for messaging and with the same “receive at” addresses set, it should be received.

If they use messages in iCloud then it will be shared with all their devices regardless of which one first receives it.

If they have another iOS device configured to receive iMessages, it should be delivered.
