Airpods Max cannot pair or reset.

I have had my Airpods Max for a grand total of 18 hours, they were working fantastically well, great sound, brilliant feel, a couple issues setting up with my windows PC and android phone but once I was paired in all sorted. happy camper.

I come back 10 hours later excited to enjoy the product only to find out that they are semi unresponsive, the battery seems to be functional as the lights do respond but will not pair with anything, either my phone or my PC.

I attempted a reset, then a factory reset per the instructions of the support article and nothing changed.

These are the things I noticed.

Whenever it is charging it lights up green for about 3 seconds and then stops. likewise when I try to press the crown or noise cancel button.

Is there anything else I can do to fix this or is it a factory fault? (apologies if I picked the wrong device as I could not find specifically the airpods max product.

Hello dustcal,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you. Having tried using the steps in How to reset your AirPods Max - Apple Support, it might be best to connect with Apple Support for additional help. There may be something with updating the firmware on your AirPods that they can walk you through. I would also be a good idea to confirm that the devices you're connecting them with are running the latest OS as well.
