Sleep Focus not turning off automatically

I have an iPhone 12 running iOS 16.1. I’ve noticed recently that sleep focus doesn’t turn off automatically when my scheduled alarm goes off in the morning, I have to manually turn it off from control center every morning now. I’ve checked my sleep focus settings and the scheduled on/off times are exactly as before so I don’t understand why this feature is now broken.

Hi RS32,

The following steps address what you're describing specifically, and should provide a solution as you may have disabled Sleep Focus for that sleep schedule.

"Turn off your Sleep Focus for all sleep schedules

  1. In the Health app , tap Browse at the bottom right, then tap Sleep.
  2. Scroll down to Your Schedule, then tap Full Schedule & Options.
  3. Turn off Use Schedule for Sleep Focus.

When this setting is off, your sleep schedules remain in effect, but your Sleep Focus doesn’t automatically turn on. You can turn this setting on again at any time."

You can find these steps along with other information that may be helpful, here: Turn your Sleep Focus on or off on iPhone

If you have followed the steps correctly and you still have the issue, let us know if you get any specific alerts or error messages when trying, as those may help us determine what might be causing the issue.

We also recommend restarting your device as that may clear out any minor software issue.
